The death of Middle Management, article by contextofthings

I agree on this and yet I do disagree. What would be the value added of middle Management in an Organisation? The closest definition of it here is “to align practical work with strategy”. What is the role of middle Management in Internal communications, the process of removing friction from the Business processes? What is the role of middle Management in analysis of all things? These things can be done in a more effective way but NOT by neglecting to implement them altogether.
